Planet Of The Apes is a 1968 film, which tells the story of of the crew of a spaceship that crash-lands on an unknown planet sometime in the future, where apes are the dominant species and human are mute. It was the first of five films:

• Planet Of The Apes (1968)
• Beneath The Planet Of The Apes (1970)
• Escape From The Planet Of The Apes (1971)
• Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes (1972)
• Battle For The Planet Of The Apes (1973)

The five films were followed by a 14 episode TV series, which originally aired in the United States between September and December 1974.
